I apologize if this is the wrong place for this, didn't see anywhere else where I thought it fit better.
I found this on Gunbroker a few weeks ago. I've always wanted to get a Geha, but most of the ones I've seen are in garbage condition and missing parts.
This one is in outstanding shape and is much fancier than the Geha's or Hard Hit Heart Shotguns. There are not many markings other than the serial number, some small commercial proofs and some old imperial markings. All serial numbered parts are matching, including the screws.
I have not been able to find any information on this one other than an old forum post on Gunboards describing it as a Remo "Model 129". It seems to have been a more upscale model that had custom barrel lengths and other characteristics. This one has a 32" barrel and a ventilated rib. Bore is larger than full choke, but I haven't measured it. The bore is near spotless. The barrel is quite thick as well. There was a ton of old dried grease in the action and under the stock. Whoever owned it, took extremely good care of it and shot it very little. Quality is exceptional.
It's chambered in 12 Gauge. I read these were made with 2.5" chambers, so I ordered some 2.5" and 2" shells from RST. I took it out and shot it a few times with each length and it patterns pretty well. I'm tempted to try it out on some Doves this season. The magazine is a bit clunky, and shells have trouble feeding under the extractor. I've just been single loading shells under the extractor in order for them to chamber.
Does anybody have any idea exactly what model this is, and any other information on it? I figured for around $480 total shipped, wasn't bad at all. I took a ton of pictures, so I uploaded them on the Imgur link below. Let me know if they aren't visible.
