Looks cleaned to me, but the rest seems ok.

I agree, denatured alcohol or some type of degreaser, the bluing looks a lot better than most I have seen. Not a common rifle where I am at, most of the ones I come across look like they were rode hard and put away wet.

Does the bluing look ok? I figured I would darken the stock with some oil possibly to darken it back up.

It looks better than most of these I have seen, the pictures are not the best quality though. When you get it take some better pics and post them.
