G33/40 Sight Hood?

Hi all,

Recently picked up a few sight hoods and among them was this one, which appears to be for a G33/40. Truthfully I do not see one of these rifles in my near future, so I may end up just throwing it up for sale/trade, and I would like to make sure it's legit before doing so. Anyone with more experience with these have any ideas regarding the authenticity of this piece? It came along with the 98K and G/K43 sight hoods pictured, which both appear to be original to my eye as well.

IMHO, the 33/40 is definitely an original hood. The other two look correct and look like they were on rifles for a time period due to the wear on the areas that clip into the front sight. Sometimes you need to actually feel the strength of the metal tension on hoods to get a good read on them. There have been lots of original WW2 German and post-war Norwegian-made hoods coming out of Norway recently. Both are well-made and sometimes tough to tell apart. IMHO all three of your hoods look good and appear to be WW2 German made to me.
