G41 ac43

I think you did ok. They are double or more with a real stock. So maybe not super collectible in the strictest sense, if you plan to shoot it, it's perfect!

First, you shouldn't throw $2500 at something you know very little about. It's too easy to get burned. Second, you got lucky, it's actually an all matching rifle with a decent aftermarket stock and hand guard. The sum of all parts is worth about what you paid for it.
It does look pretty worn, though, and it will look even more beat up and worn once you stick it in a crisp $500 Fox stock. Honestly, it will look like crap in a new stock. You'll be better off taking the existing stock, give it a smoother finish like an early G41 and add some dings and dents which you can fill with dark stain to make it look old. Try to stain such that it resembles aged walnut and you'll have an honest looking war horse. The stain needs to be very dark to cover up the beechwood grain structure. You should also make an effort to steam out the idiotic "R/C-looking" model and serial number which some buffoon hammered into the butt stock. And you need to get a better recoil lug.
