G41 BLM with walnut stock

Hello

In France the law on weapons means that many remained hidden for years, this G 41 was in the straw, unfortunately it had a leak on the roof

Found with his sling and cleaning rod wand 25 years ago in FRENCH REGION BOURGOGNE during the renovation of the house which had just been bought by his brother, the former owner only reinforced the dust cover.

It is perfectly functional, the best is to remove the dust cover

Regards

what a find !! too bad about the rust but, it seems to have been cleaned up fine and now its stable and wont get any worse. Nice early BLM with walnut stock SOOOOO incredibly scarce...

Neat 41 I love them in walnut! So tough to find a BLM wearing it, I think this is only the 3 or 4th I’ve seen/heard about. I’ve got parts of number 413 that was apparently walnut, but unfortunately parted out.

I saw your post on tircollection.com. Thanks for the detailed pics.
I didn't know (early) G41 had walnut stocks.
It is in good condition for a piece that was stored in an attic !
Worth a place in the pic sticky.

That is a very interesting piece. Never seen a magazine like this on a G.41(W). Is that also your rifle? If yes, would you mind sharing pictures of it in here too?

It belongs to droulz, who is a member here. In the thread, they assume the mag is a do-it-yourself job.
I don't know much about G41(W), but I am currently doing some research about the creation of the Fallschirmjäger divisions in France in the first half of 1943.
If Fallschirmjägers were among the first troops to receive them, it might explain that some early G41(W) might have been left behind at some point.
