Gewehr 43 safety help

The way I generally do it is to remove the receiver from the wood- from there I push the safety plunger in as far as it can go with a pencil eraser. WHile it's held in, I insert the rear action screw into the screw hole in the bottom of the receiver and tighten until the plunger stays in when you remove the pencil eraser. (The screw holds it back making life MUCH easier)

From there, as Rick/Biggymu said put the safety in and manipulate the snap ring over it and use snap ring pliers to squeeze the two prongs together so the snap ring fits in the cut slot. From there you should be good.

There are videos on Youtube if my written description doesn't help.

I will try this tonight/ tomorrow. Will the safety plunger come flying out when I take it out of the stock? Don’t want to lose anything lol
When putting the safety back in do I put it on the fire side or safe side? Thanks again!
