I want to introduce myself and say hello. I've been looking forward to joining a community of fellow K98 owners to share knowledge and appreciation of these beautiful firearms.
The main catalyst for me joining however is a concern about my K98 being a fake/replica....
I have a Mauser, Obendorf- "byf" 41. It's all matching with the bayonet and is in AMAZING condition. However I recently spoke with an acquaintance with experience selling these rifles and he brought up the topic of fake/replica K98s...
Now I am all worried,
I want to familiarize myself around this forum first, since I'm sure a lot of other members have the same concerns and have brought up this topic before.
I will post pictures of my rifle soon and hopefully the community can help a brother out
