I thought I'd share some photos of my Machine Gun marked bayonets with the membership. The three (3) are as follows:

Prussian 71/84 aA Plain Blade, made by WKC, W88 date,
M.G.K.6.R.9 (nine is faint).
Prussian KS98 Service-Issue Sawback, made by ERFURT, W04 date, R.M.G.A.11.70.
Prussian 84/98 nA Plain Blade, made by GOTTLIEB, HAMMESFAHR (pyramid), W17 date, 30.R.3.M.G.K.97.

Thanks for looking and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for sharing nice bayonets with MG unit marking, the S71/84 was probably late using by similar units, the scabbard looks like Bavarian marked. Strange marking of unit, with Regiment nr. behind the MG Kompanie.
The KS98 is very nice condition Reserve MG Abteilung 11.? in Genwiki is mentioned that MG Abt.11 was raised 1904 and renamed into nr.6 in 1913, the KS98 is 1904 so most real the Reserve part was prepared and in this was marked but is not mentioned in that listings.
The S84/98nA looks like proper unit marked even late in war. Any details of pommel proof?

Thank you luftpirate !

Thank you for your comments on the various MG designations. Here is a photo of the 84/98 pommel Fraktur.

Thanks this confirm the theory that the finisher was someone other as the maker stamped on blade, who probably delivered blanks with fully mashined and accepted blade profile. J inspector was never confirmed for Solingen in 1914-18.
