Infanterie Gewehr 71/84 Amberg 1887 28487

Traded a fellow forum member for this one. He posted it recently, and I noticed the unit mark looked familiar. After finding the right Gew to trade, I picked it up on the way back from a trip.

It’s a very nice Amberg 71/84 overall. The best part is it’s marked to the same regiment as my Amberg 71s.

About a month after getting my first Gew 71, the nice 1878 Amberg marked to the 14th Bavarian Regiment, I find another. Not quite as nice, but still nice and since its 13 weapon numbers away from the first, I had to have it. Luckily no one else on Gun Broker was interested. Only about 500...

Your picture bugged me and it kept nagging at me.
