Is this a scrubbed Yugo?

No markings that I can see on the auction pics.
Stock seems to have been marked by the Yugos.
I see a "V" in a circle on a few places.

Looks to be so. pictures don't show much, but elm stock, long hand guard, turned up sight ladder, no firing pin takedown device……note that the bolt knob is flattened on underside.
if had in hand, you could check receiver diameter & center distance of the action screws……
there appears to be a mark on the left of receiver, any auction pics showing that? ( may be another ‘circle V’)

It looks to be what is know as M-48 BO, with the BO meaning "without marking". Post WW2 made in Yugoslavia and intended for export sale to another country and they add their own crest if so desired.
Rifle should be intermediate length action, rather than standard length like a K98k. Flat bottom bolt knob is typical on M-48 series rifles.

I am waiting the ten days to pick it up in Kommifornia.

When I did visually inspect it, the marks on the receiver - not many - included the circle V.

The guy who sold it said he thought it was Czech - but I am inclined to think it is Yugo, but I wanted someone who knows more than what little I know - to comment.

Thanks

a standard length model 98 is 7.835” on center for action screw spacing, vs 7.625” for an intermediate length action like the model 48.

Circle Z would be Czech for Česká zbrojovka

Z in circle is not Ceska Zbrojovka, but Ceskoslovenska Zbrojovka Brno, so its not czech but czechoslovak armory, personally i dont see exact details of this but czechoslovak didnt use similar buttstock from not quality wood as is here, the serialing is too real for Yugoslavia, normally they use BK but this could be too a VK in circle as latin alphabet used in various parts of Yugoslavia, when there is a Z in circle on metall parts it could be then from CSZ production.

Thanks for clarifying that Andy! Not my spoken language or area of expertise really. Partial credit??

Maybe not as bad as saying Banska Bystcia instead of Povazska Bystrica for the location of dou. :ROFLMAO:
