So I am interested in getting a K/G 43 rifle and hope to also be able to use it for reenacting. I was curious if anyone knew about BFA options for the rifle that do not require getting the barrel tapped or threaded.

Are there any safe BFAs that attach in a similar manner to an M4 BFA?
 
None that I am aware of.

As long as the rifle is a mismatched shooter, and not a prime collectors piece, tapping the barrel will not impact value. Even if you are handy, don't try to do this yourself. Best thing to do is send it off to Apfeltor Waffenfabrik. It's worth it.
 
I will second Apfeltor. Price is extremely reasonable. While it is there you should have him install a shooters kit as well.
 
Get a G43 duv44 with a threaded muzzle. This way you don't have to do anything value-diminishing to the rifle.
Get a shooter kit and a BFA that threads onto the muzzle and DONE.
There was a thread on the old G/K43 site talking about blowing up a G43 with Atlantic Wall blanks. I would contact reenactors (we have a few on this site) to get the scoop on this one.
