KS98 - RUBBER HANDLED COLONIAL CONTRACT BAYONET

One of the less common variations of the ks98s ,usually only found on the south african market, made by erfurt in 1914 , this has caoutchouc handles (the rubber was sourced from belgian congo and the supply ended with ww1). Around 2100 were made in total , 300 in 1912 for trials and then the bulk made in 1913 and 1914 .

Here are the S proofstamps visible on Your screw of W12 wooden handle piece, so the wood handles were applied 1914 most real when assume from the proofs. Changes by Erfurt letter T 1911/12, 13-V, 14-S.
 
It would be nice present the proofs of the pommel here as not visible details.
As You could see here on the partly visible S on spine , this stamp was the first one even done prior assembly the crossguard and grips, so the proof on blade is by proofing much early done as the proofs on grips ,rifle slot and pommels.
 
Thanks also blade and pommel, screws only S proof stamp like should be by one period production and proofing.
