Really like this one, looks all matching with unsanded stock and goodies still in the butt compartment. Has a durafol hand guard that someone added a retaining clip to. Click pictures to enlarge
Thank you. Crazy how they did the stain. It’s like they slopped dark stain over quickly and didn’t get into the crevices very well at all. Almost a quick brush over (or how ever they did it) and that was it.
Oh yes! From my serial number listings on rifles I have listed, I have recorded a solid batch of them that starts from G.43 duv44 #8713f to G.43 duv44 #1407g. And, before that batch and after, the rifles are mixed with wood hand guards and Durofol hand guards.
I personally feel BLM G/K43s were typically finished to a higher degree than most. The "workers" seemed to care a little bit more. Just my opinion.
I feel they clearly stained/seal coated the stocks only when they had the material available. They did not hold up shipment because the stock was missing finish being placed on it.
It seems that it is merely wiped on with a rag etc...does not really make it into the nooks and crannies of the rifle, as depicted on the examples in this thread.
