A depot spare liner could be any date and reinforced aluminum could be from 1940 until the end of the war as any spare part. I think it replaced because the wear of the helmet is not consistent with the wear of the liner. If that was the original factory liner it would show use and wear for several years. That helmet has been painted at least twice. It picked up a new liner with the last rework IMHO.
