Local Gun Show Purchase - Nice 43 CRS 84/98 For Your Review

Hi All - Been a little while since I've popped in here to this Board, but I came across this as I was leaving my LGS last Saturday.
Its a 1943 Weyersberg (crs) matching 84/98 that looks to be in really nice condition.
I think what caught my eye was the condition of the frog, and I'd like you experts to poke holes in it, and tell me if it looks "too nice" to you, and could be a fake.
The leather is grainy but firm-to-stiff and has a good gloss and color. The stitching is too bright white though, and the edges of the leather look almost brand new.
The scabbard tang is in the frog hole too tightly for me to remove it, so it appears to have been together for quite some time, even though there is no sign of wear or "sagging" due to carry-weight at the upper edge of the hole in the leather for the tang.
Even if it is a repro frog, the matching bayo and scabbard were well worth the price I walked away with. I only have a couple of true matching rigs, so this one will make its way into my display case with my (too many) other bayonets.

Would appreciate your candid feedback.

Too many bayonets?

I say, he who dies with the most bayonets wins. It is not possible to have too many. Especially if one is a matched 43crs!

Repro frog is clear visible, the 43 crs in b range are mainly reported with red colored plastic grips, i would examine the marking on inside of grips, when possible to remove easily the screws. b.r.Andy

Thanks,
Here's a few photos of the inside of the grips.
I see one marking (maybe) pm the right side of the half with the screws.
Could be a "0" or a square symbol. Hard to make out.
The wood of the grips is nicely worn and not repro-looking at all.
But I do suspect the frog was (well) made more recently than the 1941 stamping in the leather.
