Hi all! First time poster. I was looking over this bring back M41 carcano (Duffle cut) and saw that the bolt has an Electro-penciled (?) Serial number on it. Has anyone seen one like this before? Does this look like something done by the Italians, Germans, someone else? I'm happy to share more photos if needed. Thanks for looking! 1000023607.jpg

The Italians simply used recycled M91 Rifle bolts for these. I have a Cavalry Carbine that has a stamped bolt number done by the Germans, so there's precedent, but it's very uncommon to find added bolt numbers on non-Krieghoff conversions. I'm not sure what/who to attribute the number on your bolt to. Is there a small depot stamp on the underside of the stock, down between the back of the trigger guard and the butt plate? Any 'Made in Italy' stamps anywhere on the rifle?

Thanks for the reply! There are no import stamps and no "Made in Italy" stamp. Also no depot stamps that I can find on the stock. The stock is Duffle cut as well.
