M42 ET66 #1529 SD Heer

I bought this helmet off of eBay a couple of weeks ago. I was told that the seller was the grandson of the vet and that the helmet was acquired in Berlin 1945 along with the flag seen in the pics. I was also told that upon winning the auction he would give me his grandfathers name along with pictures of him during the war. After purchase he then said that his grandfather did not wish to share his name nor the pictures. So is the story true......or complete BS? who knows! But either way I got both the items for a good price.

Upon inspecting the helmet I found a name written in a rather unusual location. It is on the liner band metal on the back side of where the year stamp is. Written in ink is the name "Grayson Henry." I asked the seller if the name had any meaning to him and he said that he had never heard the name before nor did he know there was a name in the helmet. Has anyone ever seen a name written on the liner band before? Also the name doesn't seem very German!
