Mauser Collection Expansion - Recommendations?

Hey all, I'm looking to expand my collection of Mausers down the road (I need to get a bigger safe first). At present, my Mauser collection consists of a Remington M1903A3 Springfield, an Ottoman 1893, and a DOU 42 K98k. I'm looking to acquire rifles that are collectible, fun to shoot, and have graceful aesthetics. Any recommendations?

I'm a fan of the black powder mauser rifles myself, and they can be really reasonably priced. A Gew71/84 would be a good addition, although if you want to shoot you're really going to reload unless you're made of money.

Grew98 is kind of a must-have if you're building out a general Mauser collection.

I'd argue that a Gew88, while not a mauser, is a good companion piece to show what the competition was. It also pairs nicely with a Belgian m1889, because you can see what the contemporary Mauser was like and some of the similarities they had between them - the barrel shroud for example.

Argentine m91s are plentiful and generally in good condition. Very pretty guns, unfortunately usually with scrubbed crests. Still a great window into the kind of quality that DWM was making pre-WW1.

The Spanish m95 is another must have, especially if you're considering the 1903 a Mauser derivative.

Brazilian m1908s are cool guns, basically a modernized Gew98, and can frequently be found in excellent condition.

Poliish wz29 and an iranian model 49. The first because the crest is awesome and the second because you will shoot it once and never want to again. The model 49 can be found in unissued condition also.

I've added these to the list.

M1909 Argentine, made by DWM, really nice quality & some unique model 98 features. 7.65x53 was the Mauser Brothers ‘ideal’ cartridge for the m98. G98 length rifles, & cavalry carbines shorter than K98k. The floor plate release in the trigger guard bow as well as the ‘finger’ on the bolt stop that holds the stripper while you load, great crest on the receiver ring too!
