Yep, Chinese contract. Almost all of these are beat to hell. This one is actually nicer than most I've seen. Wonder how that Czech triggerguard ended up on that one?

Neat!

Chinese K98k

One of the first 'c' series Chinese contract rifles. Ryan is correct, most look like they have been dragged behind a truck for a few years.

Value

Not...pass at that price.
Besides you have not looked under the hood...may have condition issues similar to most of the Port. M937A rifles.

I was now offered this rifle for 400? The bore is smoked. Bullet falls in the muzzle all the way to the rim of case.

At $400. I would strongly consider it, at $350. I would buy it. Others will disagree based on condition and mismatched parts, and those are good points. I like to collect different versions of the K98k and will buy a rifle that has issues to get an example. As others have said most of these look like they have been dragged behind a truck, I have one, and that is how mine looks, this one is better. the back of the bolt root should have the Chinese sun proof on it. I would not buy it looking to resell, I doubt it will appreciate like a nice matching K98k. But at $350 you couldn't get hurt. I saw on e-bay today a mismatched K98 bolt was over $180 and the auction had not ended.
