MP34 steyr solothurn portuguese crest on wood stock question ?

I,ve noticed on google search most of the MP34's with the 1942 portuguese crest on the top frame receiver, also have the same matching 1942 crest on the wood work.
But i've also noticed that some portuguese MP34's ( do not ) have the 1942 crest on the wood work, yet have matching
serial number's on the wood stock and receiver.
My question is - did all the 1942 portuguese MP34's have the crest on the wood stock.
Or are the MP34 stocks (without) the 1942 portuguese crest on the wood, original to the portuguese contract MP34's.

Any answers please.
Thanks

The Portuguese contract was made in two separate orders, one in 1938 for a batch of guns in 7.65x21mm (designated pistola metralhadora m/938) and another in 1942 for 9x19mm guns (pistola metralhadora m/942).

The guns you refer to without the 1942 crest are likely 7.65mm guns from the 1938 order.
