Mp40 Suppressor Adapter

Here's a device I had made to make my suppressor more versatile. The adapter was made to my specs by Thompson barrels should anyone want something similar. The weapon is a Wilson tube reciever with a very early non matching parts kit. Hope you enjoy it

Hi biggymu:
I have a Obsidian 45 Suppressor, with a 578 x28 thread , for my 1911 Kimber, I was thinking of putting it on my INLAND MP 38/40 I got a few years ago.
Could you tell me how the suppressor Worked for you, an the thread size for the muzzle of the MP40.
And any information threw Thompson Barrels to try to have one Made.

Thank You
Dave

Hi Dave,
Thompson barrel’s already make a replacement MP40 barrel so they have the proper internal thread size for the barrel. I simply had them make an Mp40 barrel nut with an extension off the front threaded to your suppressor specs.
I have the Silencerco Octane 45 suppressor. It allows me to fire the weapon without hearing protection and functions without issue. Not super quiet but it is an attention getter.
As I stated in my original post this was made some years ago (2016) so I don’t know the status of Thompson barrels currently.

Just found this forum.

I just did this for mine out of stainless steel. . 16X1.5mm RH to 1 3/8-24 direct thread back cap. Takes the place of the rear cap on most modern suppressors using the 1 3/8-24 standard. Machined in a bit of a stand off to allow the sight block spring to clear.

Do you have a blueprint of what you made? I might see if my dad can spin one up.

Sorry no. I just do direct entry into the CNC computer . For something like that I wouldn't normally do a print. 16mm x1.5mm threads on the inside with 1 3/8 x 24 threads on a 1.5" OD and a .2" standoff.
