My show find dou45

Picked this up saturday for a righteous price. I apologize for the cosmo and grime- I wanted to get pics of it on here soon, and I figured you guys wouldn't mind a bit of crud.
A couple of concerns, though-
The bolt matches itself clear to the pin, but no waa#, and I haven't had time to go through 'The Book' to ID the font.
Also what appears to be a small number on the side of the stock (makes me think RC (shudder), but if it is, there are no other typical Russkie signs of arsenal work.
Your thoughts?

I would be ecstatic to find a rifle like that at a local show here, so I think you did well. However, it looks like someone may have tried to steam out the numbers on the left side of the stock? I'm not positive at all that is what it is, but that is my guess (about 5 minutes after I post this a REAL expert will chime in and debunk my hypothesis :baby: ).

It doesn't look steamed to me, but you are right. Looks like '9042' stamped there, too. Maybe indicating post-war service of some sort? An early import? Very nice in any event!

Great rifle for a great price! Email me- I have the perfect screw for your front band, you can have it!

Not RC

It's not a RC. They usally have a big flat place sanded into the side of the stock. That shows up from a mile away and the numbers aren't parallel with the buttplate. It looks like I should have went to the KC show. Nice find thanks for sharing. Bill
