I got this and about thirty other mounts a few days ago and was wandering what it goes to. I was told it might go to a German Mauser Type Rifle. Any Help would be Greatly Appreciated.

Thank you for your answer. This one is a tricky one.I can tell you it definitely is not a German WW2 Type military Mount .
I thought something similar to this, but it is actually a small mount. The Rings are 1". I assumed Mauser because of the Silver Solder on the Ring half. It obviously mounts on a surface with allows for a locking nut and Screw? Just thought it had the feel of a German or maybe Swiss design. No markings at all. Just the FEEL and Finish. The countersunk mounting screw holes are opposite the knob. I wonder if the knob is not original to this piece or backwards. Also the back mounting surface appears flat. Don't see a contour to mate to a Mauser. Could this be for an MG or other purpose of some kind?
Maybe it mounts closer to the Trunnion itself? Trying to figure this thing out.Well if you place that nut inside the receiver rails you can be certain the bolt will not cycle![]()
Same here, the reason I thought Military is just the feel and design. It is not military, but the fact that it had a scope soldered to it makes me certain it must had been for a rifle.
Wasnt there someone over here a few weeks ago with a cut stock and drilled receiver
in the location for a lsr noone knew the answer to? maybe this is the mount lol.
Concur. It's as if the maker didn't think things through. "Gustav, do you know how we knew you aren't German?"Well if you place that nut inside the receiver rails you can be certain the bolt will not cycle![]()
