New highest serial qve45?

Absolut

A friend of mine recently obtained a qve45 coded K.43 rifle. Comparing it against the serial list of Claus Espeholt it turned out this one would be a new highest serial, adding another 319 serials to the top of the list from Claus Espeholt (according to his list so far 8981f is the highest serial known). It pretty much follows the rules for those late rifles with firing proof only on the barrel and not on the receiver, which is Walther made and had the second guide removed. The suffix is f, though very tough to make out. Can please those more knowledgeable than I am take a look at the few shots I got and let me know their opinion? Not shown but was told the front sight base (or whatever it is properly named in English) has the retaining part for the thread cover, the barrel though not being threaded at the muzzle.

No one can confirm if that suffix is really a "f" and if this would make it the highest serial?

Hello, I am currently dealing with COVID problems that I had to be hospitalized for, but once I get home I will check my listings to see what I have. Yes, it looks like an f block if you really look at it. It very well could be the highest.

Appears an f block to me. Does it also happen to have a milled bolt housing? My own Qve45 7213 F has one and I'm curious if that was the norm this late with Berlin-Lubecker producing their own and assuming the Merz Werke stamped bolt housing were no longer available.

Mine is (unless this one turns out to be a new one in my listings to add) the third highest known K.43 qve45. Mine has a milled bolt housing numbered to the rifle. It’s absolutely a normal thing to have this late on these.

On this one, is the bolt carrier matching? If it is, it should have the letter after the serial number, maybe better stamped where it is better to read.

Thank you to you two. That is very interesting then that it adds so many additional rifles to the highest one known (the so far highest known ones are very dense in a certain serial range).

I only got the above pictures myself, will need to ask him on the bolt housing and carrier. For what I understood it is matching.

Just checked my listings. Yep, it is now the highest recorded K.43 qve45. The highest before this one was K.43 qve45 #8981f recorded on this forum by Johnny12550 in 2011.
