ladies and gentlemen,

I am new to this group but it looks like members are true experts in regards to the K 98.

Today I acquired an excellent example of the K 98. At first glance it looks like a rare find. It is in excellent condition with a three digit serial number. Looking for what info the members could share with me on this model and its approximate value.

Thank you for your time and expertise.

I have lots more photos but having trouble loading them. It was made in oberndorf in 37.

Can’t see much but looks like a “Russian capture.”
Does not look like an RC to me.
I agree pictures do not show much. It seems OP does not know what matters in that regard

Please take picture of the receiver top and left side (serial number). Picture of the bolt handle area with serial number and all serial numbers on all parts including on the stock and butt

Matching guns can be almost all correct but almost generally takes a 50% it when something is not correct and pictures is how the experts (I am not one of them) will be able to ascertain your rifle.
Looks promising to me

My photos are to large, will post more photos with smaller file size tomorrow. Thanks
If you have Facebook, download the Facebook messenger app and use the camera on the messenger app to take photos (obviously be sure to save them to your device) I have a LG velvet and for me the camera in the messenger app is how I take all my photos for posting here.
