P.38 ac45 #108c with late ndk holster

Hello,
Here is a matching P.38 ac45 c block. The holster is a harder to find ndk late ‘44 hard shell, made in Nazi occupied Poland. The gun came with the holster but no second magazine. The gun has a lot of features collectors like such as Durofol grip panels, cog hammer, Czech made fnh barrel, phosphate small parts. fnh barrels start getting scarce this high. The slide is missing the final proof stamp. The hammer drop/safety lever works. Interesting place for hardness tests at the breach face. The hammer drop lever is pretty tough lowering with the thumb. The pistol was more than likely captured in the factory.

I’ve always wanted an all matching ac45 c block. They don’t seem to be an easy find. I was watching a post gun show video from Legacy Collectibles when they had this rig. I was fortunate they had it still as they had not listed it yet on their website. The pistol was in Pennsylvania and the gun and holster rig were reportedly found together. It is unknown where the second mag went.

Some more photos:

The “circled P.38” is hard to see. And the maker mark letters that is supposed to be in the blank circle I guess didn’t make it. Holsters for the P.38 by ‘44 had pretty much all went to the soft shell type. These ndk hard shell types were reportedly made by forced labor and used inferior leather. Another Polish hard shell holster maker, located not too far from this one (lyo), were made the same way.

The mag with the pistol is just a standard Walther magazine.

Great piece.
I’m not sure about the prices of legacy, i believe they are a bit high.
But if your truly happy with it i believe it’s worth every penny.

Yeah, this was on consignment with them at the time and they had to go with a price that the owner wanted for it and make a little on it as well. I don’t see matching ac45 c blocks often for sale and the holster is not one you can find often as well either, so it now resides in my collection.

Very nice! Love the holster. The pistol identical to mine, and very close to my serial.

Neat ac45 matching c block! Two digit serial number too. Those mags are absolutely cool as well. These have so many finish colors which makes them so unique. For some reason gxy holsters are my favorites (especially gxy1945). No special reason, just like “gxy”……strange thing to like I guess.

Forgot to add the slide proof stamps:

The matching C blocks are my favorite of all ac45's, especially when they are like this. Can't stop looking at it, a classic late Walther in the factory at the end.

I just bought what I think would be the correct mag for it on the trader, so they are out there. https://www.k98kforum.com/threads/wts-p-38-magazine-late-war-sold.48746/

Its either this blued type or the exact same mag but in the white. I've seen "ac" marked un-inspected mags in them too. But your mag is also probably the "right one", I just like to pair them with mags that don't have an inspection. The one I posted actually came with the one in it, I found another for a spare.

I remember this mag! I almost bought it but I am so unfamiliar with Paypal and “the gift option” that I hemmed around and didn’t. That is a gorgeous mag. It would definitely be appropriate for the ac45’s. If I had gotten it, it would have been put with the P.38 commercial Mod P38 pistols that I have. I almost, not always, but almost always see these un-proof’ed purple hue P.38v in-proofed mags with the late Mod P38 pistols. I don’t know why, but that’s what I see anyway. What made that mag so neat was the corrugated phosphate bullet follower. The armorer’s ac mags you were talking about also would be appropriate. A series of jvd mags also.

Nice rig... I guess that's one way to find stuff.. Tom was at the show @ Allentown Friday buying up everything available.. Plus taking consignments as well.. He sure beats dealing with scotty.. lol
who was MIA..

The post Allentown show was the video that had this rig. I think he wasn’t sure if it came from there or if it was a walk in.

Yes, it sure does. I’ve bought things from pre98, but you really have to look the items over.
