Partial Rg34 Lang for the Panzerbüchse 38/39

Hello everyone,
I lurk on this forum quite a bit and enjoy seeing all of your wonderful collections, especially the Sg.84/98 and Rg34 threads. I don't have much myself but thought I would post my Rg34 Lang due to the lack of photos of them online. Unfortunately, it is incomplete but includes the longer oiler, chamber cleaning tool, spare firing pin, and spare extractor. The case and chamber cleaning tool are G. Appel "64" marked but the oiler uses the later "cnx" marking. I included some photos of the kit alongside "the world's ugliest standard Rg.34" to highlight the size differences. Hopefully someday I will be able to upgrade to a complete kit with components that are in better condition than the ones in mine. However, I don't think I'll ever find another Rg34 Lang in any condition for the price I paid for this one!

Nice rg34 lang, thanks for showing. Gustav Appel is the sole maker of this variant. The cans can be encountered with 64 or cnx both with WaA20. The cnx marked cans are a bit scarcer than the 64 so they may have been phased out in the early 40s. For reference here is a pic of a kit with all the correct components .......

Thanks for posting that reference picture. I wish that mine had the ruptured case extractor. When I bought the kit it included incorrect brushes and a post war cleaning chain which I removed. Do you happen to know how much longer the lang chain was compared to a standard one?

With a little effort, one complete aluminum bead GAP chain and the additional length from a scrap one, ought to get you there regarding this component...

I recently came across a manual that shows the contents of the Rg34 Lang. This is the first time that I have seen an original German document showing it. I wanted to add the picture to this thread in case it is of interest to anyone else.
