This one just pop up, and uh... hard pass. I almost spat out my drink at the low price of $6000. Lord help us. Only serial number posted is the receiver. The bands and bolts might (heavy caution) be good, due to waffenamt. The stock, is French? Still, 6k and you can buy this baby.

edit: Nvm, found the post. That seller has listed some crazily priced stuff before. Also, the French definitely hit that rifle for sure.

Yes it is a French re-blue/re-varnish. They typically kept the gun together, ie didn't swap parts unless they had to, so it is quite possibly still matching. The sling arrangement on the butt is a giveaway. The stock markings are usually scrubbed as part of the stock refinishing job but they didn't deface eagles and swastikas on the metal. At least on all the examples i have seen.

I guess he had to pay for all that poly and cut and buff jobs? What a joke. Hell, why not 10k?
 
I sent the seller a courteous email to gently let him know. I believe this is a case where the seller didn't do his research, or did it badly, and genuinely believes he has gold in his hands. How he reacts will reveal a lot.

I used to do that, but a lot of people would just flame me. Curse me for being an idiot or for trying to deceive them. Though I am curiously how the seller will react.

Yeah me too. I can totally see the people getting pissy. They KNOW at that point that their sh*t is fake or what they've advertised is a lie. They just don't care. It's like that 'couple' of his and hers junk flippers from NC? I believe? Came here threatening and all. Please b*tch. Just STFU.
