I'm looking at restoring a sporterized 98K. Has anyone here bought a reproduction stock from the business above? Any problems?

Thanks!

Never ordered from them. They look good. Of course fitting your action will probably take a step or two. Depends on the cost + shipping. What year/code are you restoring? I have 14 stocks.

Fox stocks

Lestek is great, bought one of his G43 stocks a few years ago, only had to do VERY minor fitting, and he added the WaA and rifle serial number. He will also apply a very original looking stain if you like. I have seen his prices are now about double as when I bought, but his work is excellent and it usually takes about 4 or 5 weeks for you to get it.

Fox Stock's

I had him do a 98a, with no problems.

He can do early, and the later cupped buttstock of the K98. I may be wrong but I believe he's also doing Kreigsmodell. I think he'll do them in your choice of wood.

As a potential other source I believe Brownell's is now selling new k98 stock's. Brownell's are early flat buttstocks and I believe made of walnut. I think they are going for about $230.00. Although Brownell is marketing these stock's they are actually made by an Italian Firm which does woodworking and other new rifle stock's (M1, M14, etc.)

Lot's of luck with your project.

I picked up a full kriegs walnut stock from him a while back. Gorgeous workmanship. Drop in with zero inletting.
