Single Rune on Gun Broker...questionable?

So...

There is a bnz 43 single rune on GB. It appears to be quite an early rifle from the SS contract, judging by whats visible of the barrel code and the fittings. However, I have a few concerns, and I know some others do too.

First, the left side of the butt stock appears lighter then the rest of the rifle, and almost looks likes its got some very faint traces of some vertical numbers.
Second, the trigger guard is unnumbered. I know things with the SS contract, especially early on, can be a bit wonky but its certainly out of the ordinary.
Third, and this relates to the first concern, no internal wood numbers are photographed or mentioned.
Finally, gun came from pre98 five years ago. Make of that what you will. https://pre98.com/shop/rare-single-rune-bnz43-k98k-rifle-matching-ss-contract-rifle/

I'd like it to be legit. If it was it would be a very neat rifle. But I certainly feel a bit skeptical. But I'd like to hear what some more experienced members think.

I’ll tell you what I’ve told others. Stock, bands, and trigger guard are replacements. Stock is from a Russian capture, you can see the left side of the butt stock has a sanded spot as you stated.

And he sold it 5 years ago for $3450.

What gives away the bands as replacements?

And, so it seems someone had a good barrelled action and bolt (perhaps a sporterized rifle?), and then decided to work off that.

its the devil in the details.. looking close and knowing whats right and what isnt is the key. The barreled action is real of course. Its a sporter rescue or similar. Most of the stuff in that collection has issues IMHO

years ago an older collector I meet at a show told me to never buy any SS unless I comes from the vet who brought it back. so many fakes out there.
