Spandau 1918 S/42K...

Hello my friends !
My question is simple...
What do you think of this G98 from 1934...lol

Neat rifle! This was originally a 1918 Hannover assembled one using a ordnance spare 1918 Spandau receiver (Spandau stopped Gew98 production in 1917, but continued making receivers and other parts) Hannover was a large repair and assembly operation that really took off in 1917. The Hon the receiver and buttplate are Hannover indicators.

Post WWI this was modified to 98m configuration. The rear sight was made in 1934, but that doesn't necessarily mean that is when it was converted (common misconception) the work was done at Spandau (the Su stamp on the wrist)
