Heys guys.Excuse my ignorance on this, but I have really really been trying to research this. About a month ago I got my first mauser 98K actually made in Berlin with Nazi proof marks, no capture marks and no import marks. Rifle was made in 1938...exact rifle i was wanting. It is no doubt my favorite rifle.
From my understanding, 8 mm mauser stripper clips are either 1 piece, 2 piece or 3 piece and from what I've gathered, the 3 piece clips are the better ones. I recently bought several two piece clips approximately made in the 1950s. They are in good shape, but my concern and what I discovered reading is with the 2 piece, it does not take much shaking of the loaded stripper clip for the bottom round to fall out.
If im learning correctly, the 3 piece ones are the better one, but I'm having a hard time funding any, or just simply knowing the country of manufacture.
I am desperately trying to find a stripper clip made in Germany just for the Nostalgia of my Berlin made mauser. If I could just find buy one German made stripper clip.
Sarco has been out of stock for a couple weeks, but do anyone of yall have a source for what yall consider the best stripper clips for 8mm mauser or atleleast the best country. Of origin to look for. I keep finding conflicting stories, but German made ones is what i hear good things about.
If I could buy just one german made stripper clip I would be perfectly content. I know they're a disposable item, but I shoot my Mauser just for fun at the range.
I found some 8 mm stripper clips on eBay and these are actually stamped mauser. But I cannot find an actual Answer of where or when they were made. Yall have any insight on that? I appreciate the help. And I absolutely love this forum. Since day one I felt welcome here.
