Thanks to the guys who traded with me. Extremely happy to have the three different boxes of SMKH. I was lucky to have gotten 4 boxes of the black tip and was able to trade. $50 a box was an amazing deal even if expensive for what this goes for at auction. It’s only going to get harder to get once this batch dries up.
 
One interesting thing I noticed was that it seems like at least Types 1 and 2 were being produced at the same time. I have some of the Type 1 produced in 1940, some Type 2 produced in December of 1939, and some Type 3 produced in May of 1940. The Type 1 box does not have a production date on it, but it's the 134th lot of 1940 from factory P.490. From what I've seen, the Type 1 boxes do not have a production date/shift on them. At least the ones from P.490. I'd be interested to see if anyone has a Type 1 box with the production date on it.

Here is my type one box. It’s still sealed but has a rip on one side and I can see in a bit. FCFE1A00-B7DB-4B34-97C5-6621589B0DF0.jpegE11AD04E-5E38-4C0B-B80F-B6CD9CB7ECFA.jpeg
 
That is what I would expect to see with a Type 1. 1937 to around 1939 or so. Yours, from the Polte factory, does not have a production date on it either. Only a factory/lot/year code. Finding a Type 1 dated a year-ish after Type 2 was in production is just a bit unusual. I guess they had a stockpile of Type 1 components that they were still using up until 1940. Maybe certain factories got the Type 2 projectiles before others? It's apparent that all three types were still being made in 1940.

I would agree that it seems all three were being produced in 1940. It’s odd they did no production date on the box, from what I have seen and I could be wrong the type 2 has been some of the oldest that came from this last drop. I think I have a box of 1935.
 
I have boxes dated 1939 with 1935 dated brass. There's not a lot known about this stuff. Maybe these recent batches will lead to some more understanding about this ammo. Only time will tell!
 
Does anyone have type 1 that they’d trade me for a box of my type 2? I only need type 1 to complete my collection.

thanks and try and get some from his next and probably last drop. If you don’t get a type 1 and I do. I’ll trade you. I only have 1 box of type one besides my sealed 300 round case. I’m hoping to get more in his next drop.

It's been dried up for a while.
Back at $300-350 at auction I'm seeing lately.
