Thanks Chris!Another nice one! I've got a Haenel marked to the same regiment.
Hey i have this exact gun but somone mustve sportirized it and is there any way i can find what regiment this was in ,theres no barrel band ,they chiseled out the sling slot on the butt, looks like a diffrent barrel too,any help would be greatly apreciated. All numbers match. Marked to the 18th Dragoon Regt 3rd Squadron on both the barrel band and butt. The stock is original to the rifle but unfortunately has been sanded and refinished. The cartouches are visible but faint.

If there isn't a regimental mark on the nosecap or siderail and the barrel band is missing-- nope, no way to tell. It's not like SRS and they can pull SNs and identify where it may have been issued.Hey i have this exact gun but somone mustve sportirized it and is there any way i can find what regiment this was in ,theres no barrel band ,they chiseled out the sling slot on the butt, looks like a diffrent barrel too,any help would be greatly apreciated.
