The body of Panzer Ace Kurt Knispel was already found in Czech

The Story is going on!!!
Knispel 's radio operator Dr. Rudolf Barth is still living in Germany. He contacted us after TV broadcasting about Knispel's body found in German TV.
He was eyewitness of Knispel's death. He gave us unbelievable details. According him, Knispel was killed at 30.4.1945 when he was leaded his tank from panzer turret by shrapnel. After death of Knispel, this panzer was over taken by Feldwebel Skoda, next German Panzer ace. After few hours was Skoda killed same way. When he leaded panzer from turret!!
Dr. Barth promised to visit us, if his health agree and show us when it all happened. His mind is very clear and open.
We are preparing article to history magazine. It will be in English too. I will send it.

Hello Stana,

I know that cemetery. When Kurt Knispel was found, my fiance translated the news for me. She contacted the anthropologycal museum and asked if he is already buried and never got an answer. I was the last time in October in Brno when we visited her family(she is from Kohoutovice).

The procedure of sepulture was long.. Maybe in the museum they did not know.. Because it was under charge of city Brno. Fortunatelly Was done . Let me know when you will be in Brno I am happy to meet you.

Dave , I was'nt armor...but a dear freind did 21 years armor ( 1970 - 91 ) , and a friend who is like a brother did 8yrs armor . Anyhow as you note some crews with the right 'mojo' can do a superhuman job. No less with infantry. You either have good leaders and troops that respect and follow...or you have a rabble down to a charlie foxtrot.

Just another man who might have lived a long, useful and productive life, have known all the joys of parenthood and left to succeed him generations of other useful and productive citizens, but instead was polluted by an utterly stupid ideology and died in a useless and totally unnecessary war which succeeded only in continuing the destruction of European civilization begun in the equally useless and unnecessary first world war.

When we are little boys things like uniforms or tanks or model trains often fascinate us. Such is the nature of little boys. When we grow up we are supposed to put away childish things, or at least gain a proper understanding of their significance, or more correctly, their insignificance.

When uncertainty, fear, stress set in, often combined with exhaustion, the only thing that counts is discipline and training. Even then well trained troops do not do well if the leader is not up to the job. I am not talking about some fearless superman, but a man who overcomes his own fear, and uses his training and experience to led, direct and manage his resources to maximize his squad's, tank's, section's ability to properly engage the enemy.

Many who look good in garrison, fail in combat.

We used to say there are many who can talk Tank, but damned few who can actually tank Tank
