VERY Interesting Sniper Photo !!!!!

The image is obviously a photoshop. The shotgun is very low on the rifle. She would not open a handle. The assembly of the riflescope is nonsensical. The snapshots of Srb & Štýs Praha, the Hunter brand, were fitted into claw mount. There is no claw mount on the picture.

It could be a (Side Mount) as was mentioned by others in the thread and if a Side Mount was used the Bolt Handle would operate correctly .

Can someone enlighten me where in this picture a SHOTGUN is visible? Not sure what you want to say...

Speaking on the source being an original press picture from WWII I don't consider it to be Photoshop, plus as mentioned the scope appears to be offset. This would additionally be confirmed by the position of the shooters face which is also offset and not over the bore.

I agree with the scope being offset to the left of the shooter. Also, i think that's not a vz.24 but rather a vz.33.

Mounting from Russian PEM?? Possibly work of regimental gunsmith. When I look at it, it will really be VZ.33.

I disagree and here is Pics showing why I believe rifle in photo is a VZ24 and not VZ33. Look at position of stock disc on VZ33 these disc are positioned lower on the stocks unlike that of VZ24 which is more centered . Also VZ24 rear band has a screw on right side unlike none on VZ33 rear bands which maybe slightly visible in photo . The other thing I want to point out is distance in between front and rear bands differ from both VZ33 & VZ24 and if you look at photo this distinction resembles VZ24 over VZ33 and lastly front Sight is that of VZ24 . The rifle in photo is IMO a VZ24 . Best Regards

Pretty sure too it isn‘t a Vz.33, but would also disagree on the Vz.24. Note the barrel band has a swivel on the right side in the pic - what the Vz.24 doesn‘t.

Enlarge the photo I just posted of 3 rifles You will see the swivel on this Rifle like the one in the Period Sniper photo . The Swivel is not seen in newest photo because its moved rear ward against underside of stock . Same type band set up IMO .

You mentioned that the barrel band has a swivel on the Right Side . The VZ24 Bands do have a swivel on the left side . Its very possible the soldier reversed the barrel band thus placing it to right side . I added a pic of VZ 24 showing both left & right side views. The rifle in question IMO is not a VZ 33 because the Front & Rear Bands are closer together than on VZ24 . I have also added this video showing this fact . https://youtu.be/0_UxNf6DRVo . Best Regards
