Finally managed to find a nice Pioneer marked early sawback. Missing a screw, some wood, and came in a generic metal scabbard, but it’s not bad overall.

These are interesting, - and fairly common in observations, below are those recorded when I use to follow these (Sg98's, 98/05 and type II's), so a rather short period of time 2000-2010 or so. These are all rather rough, only one with a matching bard, though I did note the "3" in "13" was different on this one than the rest, the others have the flat top "3", though the P.R.'s had a round "3". Just an observation, this is clearly correct, just individualistic due to post manufacture application probably....

Finally managed to find a nice Pioneer marked early sawback. Missing a screw, some wood, and came in a generic metal scabbard, but it’s not bad overall.
 
Great acquisition. I have yet to add a sawback bayonet of any kind to my collection. I feel a hunt coming on.
