Yes, and what's cool about that pic is that the GIs are examining a MP.40 II I believe it is, as it holds two full mags in an expanded mag well. Thanks for posting.

Rubber cap is cool to see in use (I bought a set from Ebay they vulcanized brittle now of course), but, also those mag pouches are of interest as that rear strap/loop would have been custom made/tailored to fit that way, fascinating. A political/state car perhaps.

Absolutely! Even more interesting is one of the mp40s clearly has the updated safety/charging handle which theoretically renders the strap for the early "claw" charging handle redundant
