Hi gents,

Thank you to all those who helped to confirm my intuition in my previous thread. I have more Sütterlin guesses for you.
First off, here is the picture that I finally bought and that was the purpose of my previous request.

Marseille - Juin 1943 (1).jpg

Marseille - Juin 1943 (2).jpg

The two guys (for sure, the one on the left) are Fallschirmjägers (probably from FJR4).
They were in Normandy in May 1943 and moved to the Rhone valley end of May/beginning of June, because Tunisia fell mid-May and they feared a landing (which happened in Sicily).

The other riddles follow:

I'm terrible at Sutterlin, but a resource that I've found very useful is Transkribus - https://www.transkribus.org

It uses machine learning to translate old handwriting, and Sutterlin is one of the services they offer. There is a paid version if you are doing a lot of documents, but I've found the free tier to be fine for the odds and ends that I need it for.

It's not perfect, but it's often close enough for me to figure it out.

Nr6 should be " Italien .. einem .... ??? im August 1943"
Nr.5 is correct deciphered but location is unknown, maybe photo could help? bei Breut..lle
nr.3 corect Mai 43 location in area of Normandie?
Nr.2 " Tante " Ju most real Junkers 52? should be presented the picture?
Nr1 looks like 1942 Franko? maybe Frankreich and under it is the location name ???

Thanks I know the tool, but it works when it wants to, "not perfect" as you say

Thank you Andy.
#1: "Franko...h", assuming it is indeed "Frankreich", then for the second word, I think it could be "Avranches". I clearly see a "ran", an "h" and an "s".
#2: you got it right and yes the picture is a Ju52
#3: any clue about the word before "Normandie", the first letter looks like a capital "e", last letter an "n" ? Or maybe "Gouvix", a town close to where the soldier was garrisoned in Mai 1943 (Urville)
#5: thanks for the clue, I think it is "Bretteville", it could be Bretteville sur Odon (there is an airfield) or Bretteville sur Laize, anyway it is close to Urville
#6: "Mire...cha" ?
