BYF 44 Serial Number.

Looking for any information that out there on this serial number. Or a direction of a place to look. Anything will help, still learning to navigate this hobby.

That bolt pic confirms it as an n block, which is a unique block for 1944 that is theorized to have been created to use up remaining non-Kriegsmodell stocks and externally supplied receivers. Yours has a standard Mauser Oberndorf receiver but others in the block are use either Astrawerke or Mauser Borsigwalde receivers. Typically associated with a late 1944 production date and they follow the serial numbering convention on those small parts. Post some more pics of it if you can!
 
Very cool! byf44 n blocks aren’t that common compared to the ar44 and bcd4 receivers used in the n block. Here’s a thread with some more n blocks for you to compare to.
