Meanwhile the original stock was found by the owner, unfortunately only whats left of it - it is broken...
So that could be an explanation why the stock was changed. Whatever, the remains of it is numbers matching to the gun!
Here is my all matching bnz41 with "WaA623 (4) R".
Serial number is 5813b.

It is all matching except for the bolt, stock and buttplate. The stock seems odd to me as there are no finger grooves and no hole for the sling to attach. Stock from K98a maybe?

nearly 10 years after this thread has started, i would like to refire it again!
Here is my dot45 - as can be seen clearly, the 5 is a bit lower than the 4, so i assume it is a leftover dot1944 receiver with the 4 removed and the 5 stamped in again.

Thanks, I suppose you mean the other thread, which i started. It is the same rifle only is this the pic i got from the seller before. Now i own the rifle and did some more detailed pictures!
I was lucky to add this one to my collection. A K98k code bnz41 all matching rifle. The condition is not the very best but this is how i like them - it has a story to tell. Sitting for the last decades it came out of the dark and saw daylight again!
