What is your favorite WW2 Machine Gun and why

Ok, I'm going to take some liberties here and call and orange an apple. There are several great guns listed and valid arguments made for each one. I will vote for the M2 for same reasons as wb1775 said above. Now for the orange: best "machine gun" of WWII B25J Mitchell modified by Pappy...

    What Is It ???

I was wondering the same thing. A commercial at that point in the war. How many (or few) were made? Very cool, Dave!!

    Holster ID

So it looks correct then? Because of the stitching on the front flap and the way the belt straps are attached, I had just about talked myself out of it being correct. Thank you!

    Holster ID

I was wondering if someone could tell me what I have here. I bought it for a CYQ P38 but I’m wondering if it’s even German. The stitching is wrong on the front flap for starters. No stamps. Thanks, Jay

Turd Reich Special "original mauser with ss markings" byf 43 6487 runes

It’s at a whopping $165 right now but there are ten days left. Guesses on where it will end???? Edit: I’ll sweeten the deal. Winner gets their choice of coolest forum member for a day or a Harris/Whoever 24 shirt. Disclaimer: I’m not a moderator so I can’t technically grant the first prize...

Rarest K98k you have come across?

I’m not one of the old timers and may be one of the least knowledgeable members on the forum about K98k’s (I’m a carbine guy). However, I have a personal story with this SS/SSR. My grandfather took it from the previous owner who was no longer in need of it. He then mailed it home from Germany in...

    Gew98/Kg98 SS conversion

I think it has been stated earlier but if you take the B/R out of the stock, on the underside of the receiver, the original conversion date will be there. You are correct that the SS2 mark most likely was Dachau. It is a very nice rifle that functional would be quite valuable here in the states...

    AJACK 4 X 90 SCOPE CASE

Yeah, me too. One for my Ajack SS SSR scope. They seem to be as abundant as the scopes though.

    M39 grenade value

I’m cleaning out and consolidating my stuff. I have a M39 egg grenade that I’m considering selling. It’s early (no ring on bottom). Overall pretty good shape. Any ideas on value?

New record for Pre war Radom pistol

My grandfather carried a 36 back in the holster with a cleaning rod. My brother has it. He’ll be happy to see that.

    Early Walther PP SS rig

I may be corrected on this but I think the presence of the SN on the slide is what differentiates it from a commercial.

    Question 98K

Definitely a bonafide Nazi gun. Matching gun at that.

    Question 98K

Be patient. There’s a lot more to be learned about your grandfather’s rifle. Some of the history might help. The rifle does look crisp for what it is. I’m just a novice though. Natural light photos do help a lot.

New to the forum and k98’s can you tell me what I have

Congratulations. Family heirlooms always add a little sentimental value. It’s a 1943 Brunn. The bolt is mismatched. Fairly common as the bolts were often separated from the rifle. It does affect the value though. Others who know a whole whole bunch more than me will offer more.
