Indeed. It seems the great majority of rifles I come across in NH have messed with stocks. Personally, I look at the wood first now, the bolt second. Unfortunately many gun shops haven't realized the import of original stocks to many collectors and their prices are out of whack. That's nice...

Hi. What is this? BCD? It’s a bit sanded and has no markings at all.

The stock is a semi kriegs that’s mm to the gun. I thought it might be from a bcd but Ive never seen a phosphated lug.

Brg is the code for the subcontractor that made the butt plate. It's common.

Its in some sort of sanded and unmarked semi kriegs which has a band spring, phosphate (?) bayo lug, and no stock disc.

I have no other pics because I didn’t buy it on account of the replaced stock. Id have no realistic expectation of finding a correct one.
