I remember when you posted this on Facebook. Pretty cool find!I decided to do a deep clean and preservation on my 1917 G98 made in Danzig, it’s non import marked and has all matching numbers. When I pulled the butt plate off for the first time since Ive owned it I discovered two cartridges crammed inside the stock. Dated 1918!

He posted some pictures of the rifle when it was on Facebook, but not sure why he didn't here.Factory "all matching" is rather rare, even for one of the most common maker-dates (00-block for sure , very late in the 9000 oo range with many supporting); very probable broke into the pp block... but still condition rarity is still rare for 1917.
