    Sauer SSR Sniper Stock Relief

Dave, the bands do/did match the stock number. This stock was from a rifle that I shared with you about 15 years ago. The vet who brought the SSR back, put the matching rifle in a Fajen stock, then sold it at auction. I bought the stock from the vet and no longer have it. Pics recently...

    bcd4 with 3 hole receiver

I saw a bcd4 years ago and it had 3 holes in a triangle on the left side and was not a wide receiver and no flat on the left side. Is it possible this was a non-completed SSR? This was a complete and matching rifle. When the change was made to LSR, were existing SSR receivers then used to...

You don’t mention or show the bolt. You should also check the bolt for matching numbers.

A couple questions about accessory manufacturer

For the gxc info, Thanks! I had looked at a couple lists but gxc was not on them. The bayonet scabbard has no other markings, no SN, no mfg, only MU on the end ball

A couple questions about accessory manufacturer

Can someone identify gxc44? This is on a sling. Also MU(with umlaut - the sole marking) on a bayonet scabbard?

I was just given an April 1940+ Gustloff KKW!!

Actually, I do understand. I’d gladly give $200 for the rifle as described. Good will might turn up more items, who knows.

    1937 EMRA K98

Wondering if “EMRA” is a new previously unknown manufacturer or a rare factory error?

Kar98 rebarreled during WW2? Mistmatching barrel, exact same wear and patina. 1940 "42" Mauser. Or a factory mismatch??

There are slight differences in the suffix letter. The barrel has suffix “b”. The receiver has suffix “q”. More likely someone replaced the barrel postwar. I think during WW2 the barrel would have been replaced with a new unnumbered blank, numbered to match (probably), and marked with “,2” ? I...

    Turret mount

Why would you think there is a need to remove the front base to determine manufacturer? If it were my rifle you tried to remove the base, I’d be pissed. Educate him Dave.
