    Cerakote or bluing?

I would leave it as is, or finish it in a phosphate or bluing as original.

.. a ten year chase, ended!

I believe this was one of the first attempts at drilling a port in the barrel, and likely came during, or at the end of the G.41 production. This rifle still uses the G41 annular piston, and funky push operating rod.

Wow, I remember talking to you about this last year. Glad you got it!

    1944 Berlin-Lubecker G43 project help

I can respect that. Keep an eye out for a complete bolt group. They’re out there.

    1944 Berlin-Lubecker G43 project help

If you don’t have any of the other parts on hand— you’re going to spend twice what that will be worth in the end. Especially with the rear sight hacked off

    g41 duv43

T, very cool rifle. It inspired me to take out my BLM that’s 1k serials off from yours. All matching, but the recoil lug is 359. No stock markings. Interesting theories here.

    Panel cut reciever AC44 K43

I zoomed in and it looks like a “P”. That being said it can’t be a Q being in the 6k range.. I mean I guess it could?

    A old lubecker

Nice buy— I saw that rifle in person! Looked unsanded/ untouched besides the busted stock. 😂

    Unusual BCD bolt group

Thanks for the theories on this. Now to try and find a BCD barreled action. :googlie

    Unusual BCD bolt group

Recently acquired this BCD bolt group assembly with Type 1 Heavy carrier. The bolt group matched. There was originally a serial number on the bolt, FP Carrier, and locking lugs. The Bolt and FP carrier has “0’s” on the Old SN. The F/P carrier ellipse cutout for the Carrier toe also looks poorly...

    G.I. Captured G.43 in use.

Leipzig, Eastern Germany, April, 1945. A G.I. Is shown firing a G43 upward at a building. Probably a scoped example. 6:48 in the video. Pretty cool! https://youtu.be/3cfWQg-3euk

    g41 firing pin ...

The FP housings are taller at the base on G41’s. I think the bolt housings are the only thing that’s interchangeable .

K43 AC 2915 Walther, AYE Magazine, All Markings, Good Condition, Thoughts on Value?

Neat rifle. Was made by Walther in late 1944, as most O blocks were. What gets me is the way the “AC” is stamped. Does it look like 44 under AC? Even though it’s mismatched, I would still value $2500. Is there anything in the stock trap?

    Gas Cylinder vent holes

Your rifle would not have had a vented gas piston cup from the factory. My H block DUV 44 has the Type 2 solid machined with no vent holes.

    the recuperator

Hey T, Just picked up an early G41 AC that didn't come with a recuperator. Funny you posted this. I need to look inside the stock next time to see if there's that "nail" style key cutout!

    Legit K43

Also, parkerizing isn’t original. BLM never did a phosphate. It looks like a modern park job, on top of everything else.

    G41 Walther parts to reproduce?

This will be a tough one. Coming from a background in industrial engineering, I can tell you the op-rod and any other sheet metal pressed parts will be expensive. The does/ tooling is pretty expensive. From a business perspective, these are generally amortized over time. With the quantities that...

    G43 Marked AC45?

These were cosmetic machined G.43 receivers made by M.A.S. in St. Etienne, France. If I remember correctly the theory was they might have been shipped from Buchanwald to one of the two Walther plants at the very end of the war and assembled. They're not super common, but not super rare. You...

    Gewehr 43 Force Matched Bolt

    Gustloff bcd G.43 #6696

Interesting. There was a BCD that went pretty reasonable a couple of weeks ago on GB. Same buyer/ seller. I can send you the info/ serial privately if you’re like. I almost got it.
