    GEW98 Tripple Stamped Bolt

A bit more research on my part and I have answered my own question. It looks to be a depot repair / replacement. I have run across other examples in threads on this forum.

    GEW98 Tripple Stamped Bolt

The butt plate has a W 8 and either a 7 or a partial z. Vertical top to bottom. I tried to post a photo, but it was too large a file.

    GEW98 Tripple Stamped Bolt

The bolt on my recently purchased Gew 98 1915 Oberndorf A/N has three s/n's stamped on the root of the bolt handle. The most recent stamping matches the s/n of the rifle. All other parts appear to be matching. The stamping appears to match other factory stamping is size and style. The other two...

Photos of my Mauser action trainers

I finally put them all in one photo. Top to bottom: Erma DSM 34, Gustoff-Werke KKW, FN ABL 1952 Navy, FN ABL 1952 Navy, FN ABL 1952 Army, MAS 45. The bottom one is not a trainer but a FN ABL 30.06. Another view. LTC

FN ABL 1952 Trainer Cleaning Rod

KKW22, Here is a photo of the two I purchased this spring. I haven't taken photos of the latest Navy I acquired yet. My Mauser actioned trainer list is: 1 Erma DSM34, 1 Gustoff Werke KKW, 1 MAS45, 1 Army FN ABL 1952 & 2 Navy FN ABL 1952's. I also have an FN ABL 1952 in 30-06. LTC

    FN IDF Trainer

I tried to round out my FN Mauser trainer collection, but it went higher than I was willing to spend. I would say it was in good but not great shape. I let the other bidder have it after it reached $727.00. Did someone here win it? I will hope for another, better example to come along. LTC

Can anyone tell me what these trainers used, or a source for the cleaning or stacking rods? I have accumulate three of them and no rods on any. LTC

    Erma DSM 34

I recently acquired this example to add to my trainer collection. The targets are from their first range visit. One is a 10 round group and the other a 5 round. Both benched at 25 yards. LTC

    FN 24/30 ABL 1952 Trainers

I finally broke down, bid on & won these two trainers. I had been watching them for about two months with no one bidding on them. I took both to the range yesterday with very nice results. Black one is Belgium Army and the grey one is Belgium Navy. FN produced 500 of each under Belgium...

Gustoff KKW My first German Trainer

A photo of the KKW 50 yard target. It took a few ranging shots to establish the correct sight picture and point of aim. LTC

    My KKW at 50 yards

KKW22, I'm not a member at Cherry Ridge. The Hunter Safety Range I use is in Clinton, NJ. I have numerous .22 rifles, but lately I have been drawn to military trainers. I have 1 1922 Springfield MI converted to MII, Two Lee Enfield No.2 Mk.4's and the Gustoff KKW I've posted here. I am a...

    My KKW at 50 yards

I managed to take my Gustoff KKW to the 50 yard hunter safety range the other day. After a few ranging shots to get the correct point of aim, I think the rifle did well for itself. As I stated in my previous post, the trigger is remarkable. The target in the photo was shot at 50 yards. LTC

Gustoff KKW My first German Trainer

Oldwing, Yes, 6 0 clock hold from a sandbagged rest. Windage alignment is almost dead on at 25 yds. LTC

Gustoff KKW My first German Trainer

I have been having trouble posting photos here from my Photobucket account. Not sure why. I managed to take the KKW to the range today for it's first tryout. I was impressed. Twenty five yards using Federal HV bulk ammunition got me a 4 round group I could cover with a dime, but about 2" high...

Gustoff KKW My first German Trainer

This is my first post. I have been reviewing The Small Bore Forum and would like to post a photo of the Gustoff KKW I purchased this week. I feel it is in exceptional condition, only minor handling marks in the stock and hand guard. I would rate the bluing and areas in the white at 98% or...
