    My first matching !

LOVE the family connection! Those connections are what are amazing! Unfortunately for me to have any chance of owning a piece of my grandfather's handi-work from the war would require buying a DUKW (he was on their production line during the war) and they take up SIGNIFICANTLY more space than...

Import 1940 Gustloff not RC marked

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear, there is an import mark on the barrel. I can't believe I forgot to see if the number on the stock matched the SN, I think so but I can't remember. So, it likely is a standard RC, just "cleaned." That makes sense. Thanks for the response!

Import 1940 Gustloff not RC marked

Hello, I found a 1940 "337" Gustloff that is a complete mix of parts (barrel and receiver match) that is an import but doesn't have the "X" RC stamp. I am searching and understand it may be from Albania? It is really nice looking and the stock has the "H" and two Waffenampt on the right...

My first K98k at a great price! RC bcd43

FBNC isn't horrible but I don't want to have to register all my milsurps just to fire a few rounds at the rod & gun club once in a blue moon. Someone recommended finding a state park with a range, going to try that route.

My first K98k at a great price! RC bcd43

Well, I had asked in another thread about a Russian Capture I kept looking at but was still a little gun shy about (pun intended). I am saving for my TRUE desire, a great bolt m/m that is waiting for me. I was trying to sell some of my other milsurps to pay for it. I wasn't getting any bites...

The Annual "Best find of the Year" Thread

How to choose?!?! Well, I know this is a K98 forum but, being that I'm trying to GET my first K98 I figure this is a great place to hang out and get smart. A year ago I wasn't a Mosin Nagant guy either and 15 rifles later...well anyway... I'm torn. The CHEAPEST deal I got was an original...

Thoughts on a RC BCD43 and RCs in general.

I've already been heavily bitten by the milsurp bug. I had an M1, Model 1917 rifle, M1911 for well over a decade...then I opened my eyes to foreign weapons by stumbling on a beautiful Webley Mark VI, unshaved, for $199! That kicked me down the British path...three Enfields later, someone or...

Thoughts on a RC BCD43 and RCs in general.

Thank you all very much. I guess initially my intent is to have a good representative example...but that was my logic when I added three various Enfields and 15 Mosin Nagants! I did start researching first and this and Gunboards have been absolutely indespensable in researching. As was...

Thoughts on a RC BCD43 and RCs in general.

Updated info on RC bcd 43...I think I can control my OCD... Good Evening. I am new to Mausers having focused on Mosin Nagants lately, but I own a Romanian Contract vz24 and Swedish M96. I also have a transitional Gewehr 98 on layaway. The ultimate though, is the K98k. I bought "Backbone of...

1915 Erfurt Kar98a with damage value?

Good morning, I am travelling and at an airport so no pics yet to help, but I am looking at a 1915 Erfurt Kar98 A that looks to be restocked with a 1920 stock. It has crack the length of the handguard and is missing the stacking hook (looks cut off because the plate is still there). Numbers...
