    Karabiner M/71

Very nice. Mine is not nearly as nice but I don't think it was appreciated until I picked it up.

    North Africa Capture Piles

Yeah, they really cracked down on the sending home of 'trophies'. Of course a K98K was a different animal than a fully auto capable AK.

    Erma DSM 34

I continue to be amazed at how accurate this little rifle is. Mine puts shot groups like that at 75-100 yards without a problem. No other 22 that I have owned is as accurate as my little DSM34. It is one of my favorate guns to shoot and is my wife's favorate.

    1871 Mauser carbine on gunbroker

I stumbled on one a few years ago, on craigslist of all things. Paid 125 bucks for it. Looked like it hasn't been fired since the Kaiser was in power. Suprisingly the barrel looked very good, light frost but rifling was intact. Shot fine. I agree you can hear the round hit the cardboard...

    And It Sold

There is one on gunbroker now nearby that is in the 300 dollar range that I am watching. It doesn't looked messed with and the guy is realistic with the reserve price. Might have to pick it up to do some shooting.

    New BNZ44

Oly. Got the joy of dealing with 594 for the first time this week.

    New BNZ44

Thanks. I'm going to look for a correct period stock eventually. I bought it to replace the RC shooter that I had before. This gun has a nicer bore and rifling so I can't wait for a nice day (in Washington, might be a while). I have no real idea what this thing is worth, personally don't...

    New BNZ44

Picked this up pretty cheaply. Appears to be a vet bringback that was sporterized at one time then someone put a different stock on it. Everything seems to match except for the front bands and of course the stock. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake buying it but I figure for 475 bucks I have a...

Thought you guys might find this interesting

I mentioned before about my 1871 Cavalry Mauser that I picked up off of craigslist (of all things) for 175 bucks. I've had the thing for about six months and never got around to firing it. Well, a few weeks ago I finally decided to pull some ammo that I had scrounged and give her a shot. This...

    CE 41 Stock Damage

Very strange it would be a 22 hit. Maybe a 30 cal carbine round perhaps? I can't think of anything smaller from the allied side that could make that kind of hit. Interesting rifle for sure.

    8mm ammo price check

It's 15 bucks. You gotta figure at worst you are out of three cups of coffee at Starbucks. Yeah, I live in the PNW. I've fired Turkish ammo before. Not the greatest but has been fairly reliable.

    NPEA Naumberg DSM-34

I thought 600 was a little high. To each their own though.

    New Toy

I know the feeling with the rain. The rifle range I shoot at is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The only nice days this week were, you guessed it, Monday and Tuesday. Should be nice later on next week. That's fine I suppose. I need to get some 22LR anyway. It's less of a pain getting...

    New Toy

Thanks. I burned some considerable good will with my wife to get this thing. For some reason it is ok spending 500 dollars for Eagles and Queen tickets but 500 dollars for the gun seemed 'frivolous'. I pointed out that ten years from now this little rifle will be worth at least as much as it...

'71 Mauser Carbine - Local find

That is a nice 1871 Carbine. Much nicer than mine. I haven't tried running a round through her. To be honest I am somewhat afraid to try since I don't think the thing has been fired since the Kaiser was alive. She make a nice conversation piece though. Not sure how you would check the...

    New Toy

Went and got a new (to me) DSM-34. ERMA model like 8mm-57 has. Found this at a local gun show, turned out the guy lives a few miles from me. All the numbers match, actually the rifle looks very good considering the age. No import marks, must have been a vet bringback.

ERMA dsm-34 back to the range

Going to look at it this afternoon (couldn't get over to the guys shop until this week, last week was Holy Week and us Cataholics are pretty busy. Now that Easter has come I can get back to what I like to do best. Drinkin and shooting stuff (not at the same time though).

    Mauser Banner 1933 DRP Berlin

Ok, what is a rifle like this worth? I know where one is but I don't want to insult him with an offer.

ERMA dsm-34 back to the range

That's awesome. Going to look at a rifle almost exactly the same as yours. Hope it shoots as well.

    Cleaned her up . 71/84 SPANDAU 1887

Very nice. If you want to sell that 71 ammo let me know, I have a 71 carbine I could use it with.
