If memory serves me correctly luftwaffe contract pistols had an (L) stamped on the pistol while the heer had the (H). I'm not familiar with any kriegsmarine issue.

Peter S yes it is an all matching gun with the exception of the mag. Here are some more photos of the gun. So is this a 1909 manufactured piece? And any ideas of the unit marking? Grenadier regiment 5 or guard regiment 5?

I've had this DWM Luger for several years now and the Luger book I have wasn't very helpful in dating it. I'm curious if it is a wartime contract for WW1. I'd also like to know a definite on the regiment marking on the front strap. Thank you in advance for your help

After Years of searching I finally found a nice matching Panel cut AC44 K43, came with a nice aye mag. I sold a mismatch years ago and have regretted it ever since.
